Burger King has a fraction of the market share of rival McDonald's in Japan, so they've decided to pair with Windows 7 for a new promo, the first 30 diners who order the Whopper 7 can have it for 777 yen - or about 9$US

And yep, a Whopper with 7 beef patties, beef is expensive in Japan, so it's quite the deal, if you can stomach it!

Quite a long way from Masanrori Murakami, first Japanese player (and Asian) brought over to play for San Fransisco Giants in 1964 who did not have a million dollar contract, interpreters or the kind crowds (he received death threats) that other players receive today.

Carrie Prejean, winner of Miss America who dissed gay marriage, and was sueing the pageant for taking away her crown, suddenly stopped her legal proceedings when she admitted not only had she posed for nude photos before the pageant (breaking their rules) there is a sex tape of hers roaming around!

She appeared on Larry King Live, and when he wouldn't throw her fluff ball questions, she huffs and threatens to leave.

As my model was Japanese, I am aiming for an interpretation that is unique to that culture, the conch shell (Horagai) was used as a signal for battle in ancient Japan, horagai are used in Buddhist monasteries, as well as in musical compositions such as drama scores (Furrin Kazan) today.

(thanks to my muse GACKT for the inspiration!) There will be a color version presently.

Editor's Note: L. TammyDuckworth, an Iraq War veteran, is assistant secretary for public and inter governmental affairs at the Department of Veterans Affairs. She lost both legs and partial use of one arm when a helicopter she piloted was attacked by a rocket-propelled grenade in Iraq in 2004.

Washington (CNN)-- In the Army you live by the Warrior Ethos, which states, "I will always place the mission first. I will never quit. I will never accept defeat. I will never leave a fallen comrade behind."

I am alive today because my helicopter crew lived by these words.

Sarah Palin is returning to the two words widely credited with helping to spur angry town-halls on health care reform over the summer: "death panels."

In a Facebook post over the weekend, the former Alaska governor launched into a torrent of criticism about the recently-passed House health care reform bill, including the notion "bureaucratic panels" will ultimately decide who lives and who dies.

In her recent Facebook post, Palin didn't offer further evidence of the establishment of death panels. The non-partisan FactCheck.org has refuted her argument.

"The fact remains that the bill wouldn't require patients to receive counseling sessions, nor would it require a doctor to offer one. Rather, it modifies Section 1861(s)2 of the Social Security Act, defining what services Medicare will pay for. So if a patient receives a counseling session from a doctor or health care practitioner, he or she doesn't have to pay for it – Medicare will," the organization wrote.

The House approved a health care bill Saturday night that prohibits abortion coverage in a government-run plan, and in private plans that accept anyone using government subsidies to buy insurance coverage. People would be permitted to by supplemental coverage with their own money that includes covers abortions.

Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-California, a leading abortion rights voice in the Senate, told CNN Monday that approach was "radical" and "unfair to women," and said she will meet with a group of female senators Tuesday to start looking for a way to limit abortion restrictions in the Senate health care bill.

"We want to make sure we don't deny women the opportunity to avail themselves of a totally legal procedure," Boxer told CNN in a phone interview. "We believe this is unfair to women, it singles them out as a group. There is no other procedure in this bill that is denied."

With Boxer's Democratic colleague from Nebraska, Ben Nelson, just as adamantly opposed to a health care bill without strict abortion prohibitions, it appears the Democratic abortion divide in the Senate is threatening to derail its health bill - just as it almost did in the House.

Title: “Forget About Love”
Author: Shaitanah
Rating: PG
Summary: The Author fails at being the villain of his own story and learns that True Love is the force to be reckoned with. Spoilers up to 470 [semi-RPS, crack, implied KishiSasu, implied SasuNaru/NaruSasu, SakuNaru, HinaNaru] Please R&R!
Disclaimer: Naruto belongs to Kishimoto Masashi. Kishimoto Masashi obviously also belongs to Kishimoto Masashi. Who Kishimoto Seishi belongs to is debatable, but probably to the S&M chick from Blazer Drive.
A/N: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KISHI-SENSEI (AND KISHI-2)! Get off the pot, will you? XDDD This is dumb, inconsistent (like Kishi’s brain), not funny at all and is in no way meant to offend any of the shippers or the Kishi brothers.

Back to fannish stuff.

Yatterman the film - with Sho Sakurai from ARASHI. One problem, not enough of him in this film. While the special effects were amazing, and the leads engaging, most of the time was spent on the villains and not on the heroes. It was neat to see so many aspects of the original manga brought to life, but in the end, rather lifeless. C

Cho Den-O and Decade film been waiting half the year to see this, and it started out as one of the best Rider films I've seen, but lost some steam half way through. It's really about Den-O, Decade hardly figures, but then I think, as much as I like the new Kamen Rider Double out now, what happened to the Cho-Deno promised franchise. But much for lovers of Deneb. ;D (my favorite Imagin not to mention Nakamura Yuichi!) C+

SUSPECT is not dead.

An Army psychiatrist opened fire with two handguns at the Fort Hood Army post on Thursday, killing 12 and wounding 31 others, Army officials said, adding the suspect was shot several times but survived.

Authorities identified the suspected gunman as Major Nidal Malik Hasan, who had treated soldiers wounded in foreign wars preparing for foreign deployment at the post.

Major Nidal Hasan was born and raised in the United States, at the present time, his motivation is considered personal (he was about to be deployed overseas) not political He did however, target people that he knew.

Fort Hood in Killeen Texas is the largest military facility in the world.
